Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. The Wyandotte is a breed of chicken originating in the United States. The first examples of the breed appeared in 1870s. Wyandottes are a docile, dual-purpose breed kept for both eggs (Wyandottes are brown egg layers) and meat. They also appear in a wide variety of color patterns, and are popular show birds. The Wyandotte is a medium sized breast with a rose comb and clean legs. The chicken feathers are broad and loosely fitting. The area around the vent is very fluffy. The legs are yellow, although some silver laced may have grey. The Wyandotte is a breed that suits both free range and confinement in a run. They occasionally go broody. They tend to be quite friendly, and not flighty, and so make good pets for people. They are also very vocal, uttering soft clucks on a regular basis.

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Wyandotte is an unincorporated community in Butte County, California. It is located 6 miles (9.7 km) northwest of Bangor, at an elevation of 669 feet (204 m). A post office operated at Wyandotte from 1859 (having been transferred from Tarr''s Ranch) to 1867 and from 1880 to 1915. The place is named for a group of Wyandotte people who came here prospecting for gold in 1850. In law, an unincorporated area is a region of land that is not a part of any municipality. To "incorporate" in this context means to form a municipal corporation, a city or town with its own government. Thus, an unincorporated community is usually not subject to or taxed by a municipal government. Such regions are generally administered by default as a part of larger administrative divisions, such as a township, borough, county, state, province, canton, parish, or country. Occasionally small towns disincorporate, such as when they become fiscally insolvent, and services become the responsibility of a higher administration.

Bees in Early Modern Transatlantic Literature (...
27,95 € *

This book examines apian imagery-bees, drones, honey, and the hive-in the seventeenth- and eighteenth-century literary and oral traditions. In England and the New World colonies during a critical period of expansion, the metaphor of this communal society faced unprecedented challenges even as it came to emblematize the process of colonization itself. The beehive connected the labor of those marginalized by race, class, gender, or species to larger considerations of sovereignty. This study examines the works of William Shakespeare; Francis Daniel Pastorius; Hopi, Wyandotte, and Pocasset cultures; John Milton; Hester Pulter; and Bernard Mandeville. Its contribution lies in its exploration of the simultaneously recuperative and destructive narratives that place the bee at the nexus of the human, the animal, and the environment. The book argues that bees play a central representational and physical role in shaping conflicts over hierarchies of the early transatlantic world.

She could drink and not have to worry who was counting, and a bonus was a cute bartender.Shannon was happy at Ruby’s Bar and Grille - until she found herself in the middle of someone else’s business, and they were not pleased. When she came up missing, she realized that no one here knew her real name, and her best friends Carly and Suzanne had no clue where she was.Shannon was having a blast, until everything became way too real. 1. Once home to the powerful Wyandotte Nation, Wyandot County emerged from lands surrounding the Grand Reserve. The landscape has evolved dramatically, from the backbreaking work of draining marshland to the creation of solar farms centuries later. The Mission Church, Indian Mill and Colonel Crawford Monument link the county to its rich heritage, and the Lincoln Highway connects it with the rest of the nation. The county has played host to General William Harrison, President Rutherford Hayes, Charles Dickens, Medal of Honor recipient Cyrus Sears and Neil Armstrong. Author Ronald I. Marvin Jr. explores several thousand years of Wyandot history from its earliest inhabitants to the set of the Shawshank Redemption.

Wyandotte Constitution

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. The present Constitution of the State of Kansas was originally known as the Wyandotte Constitution to distinguish it from three proposed constitutions that preceded it. The Wyandotte Constitution was drawn up at Wyandotte (now part of Kansas City) in July 1859, and was the fourth constitution voted on by the people of Kansas Territory, as the battle between proslavery and antislavery forces during the Bleeding Kansas era spread to the debate over the terms of the new state''s charter. The Wyandotte Constitution was approved in a referendum by a vote of 10,421 to 5,530 on October 4, 1859. In April, 1860, the United States House of Representatives voted 134 to 73 to admit Kansas under the Wyandotte Constitution, however, there was resistance in the United States Senate. As slave states seceded from the Union, their senators left their seats and on January 21, 1861, the Senate passed the Kansas bill. The admission of Kansas as a free state became effective January 29, 1861.
